My car says "key not detected" — is the smart key dead?
Often it is just the fob battery — hold the fob against the start button (most cars have a backup reader there) and it should start. If a new battery does not fix it, we test the fob and the car's antennas on site and replace what actually failed.

Most vehicles support 2–4 paired fobs. When we add or replace a smart key, we can also erase missing fobs from the car's memory — worth doing if a key was lost or stolen.
